    Raghupur Fort

    One of the most famous forts in Himachal Pradesh, Raghupur Fort was built by Raja Ravi Varma in 1720 AD. It is said a covered memorial beneath the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The fort has a beautiful landscape with a garden and an amphitheatre which are ideal for enjoying cultural activities like dance and music performances.

    Waterfall Point

    Waterfall Point is a waterfall situated near Barshan village. The waterfall offers a spectacular view of greenery, wildlife and mountains from a distance. The water flows down through several cascades before reaching the banks where visitors can enjoy swimming or playing under waterfalls during the monsoon season between June to September months.

    Serolsar Lake

    5 km from the Jalori pass, Serolsar Lake near Shoja has been where you can arrange a daytime breeze. Apart from appreciating the new idea of this model lake and oak woodlands, you can even see the divine Budhi Nagin temple which has been in the area of the lake.

    Tirthan Valley

    The Tirthan Valley is located at an altitude of 5,000 feet above sea level and it is visited by tourists every year during its peak season from June to September when snowfall adds to the beauty of this scenic valley. It presents a feast for the eyes with its bright lakes, stony cliffs and forested valleys.

    How to Reach Shoja

    By Air

    Shoja has been well-connected with all the main municipalities of India by air. The closest airport has been Pathankot as well as Punjab, which has been almost 80 km away from the city. There are daily flights from Delhi, Chandigarh and Chandigarh International Airport to Pathankot.

    By Rail

    The major railhead of Shoja is at Pathankot Junction in Punjab. The station code for the train station is PKT. There are regular trains connecting Shoja with major cities like Chandigarh, Amritsar and Delhi amongst others.

    By Road

    There exist different ways to get Shoja, the numerous famous ones existing NH-44 and NH-9. The distance between Srinagar and Shoja is 460 km. You can engage a taxi or bus from Srinagar as well as get to Shoja.
